January 27, 2009. WTG Blade Delivery - A Smooth Operation.

Three 122 foot-long blades for the wind turbine generator crossed the Newport Bridge at about noon on Tuesday January 27, 2009. After a redirection of the route via Connell Highway and up West Main Road, Sprague Street and South on East Main Road to Patriots Lane, the blades arrived safely. It was an exceptional cooperative effort between the Portsmouth Police, the School Department and Publics Works to get the trucks, with the three massive blades, up to the High School site. .
