At 9:30 AM the barge with a 46 ton section of the Portsmouth WTG Tower departed the pier at Quonset Point Business Park on its way to Aquidneck Island. A little over and hour later, the barge inched its way into a slip under the giant 330 ton lift at Newport Shipyard where it was attached to its carrying dollies for the final trek up the the High School Site. The second of the three tower sections arrived at the site later in the morning of February 10.

The final turbine assembly, the nacelle, is expected to be shipped from Bromont, Canada in the next few days and will be barged from Quonset later the week of February 9.
